David Ween
Philosopher • Strategist • AI Ethicist
I’m a philosopher and technologist focused on collective well-being, emerging technology, and public policy. I write Ghosts and Machines, a Substack on how to stay human in the age of thinking machines, and the Better Neighbors Blog, where I reflect on what it means to live ethically and constructively in a polarized world.
My goal is to help design technology and policy that improve people’s lives. Machine learning is rapidly reshaping how we work, relate, and govern. I help people think clearly about what comes next. What do we keep? What do we change? How do we maintain some integrity in a rapidly evolving world?
If you’re wrestling with these questions, if you’re trying to sort out what to do in a new world, or if you’re just curious about the future, I’d love to hear from you!
